Design Story

Designed by Studio Segers, the Unda Office Chair reflects the Belgian studio’s pure and honest approach to design. Its fluid silhouette brings softness to the workspace, while carefully crafted piping traces the contours of the upholstered shell and emphasizes its sculptural form.

Rather than adopting the technical appearance of a conventional task chair, Unda brings together the comfort of upholstered seating and the practical requirements of a modern workspace. Hard foam cushioning provides support throughout the workday, while highly durable flat-weave upholstery is rated to 100,000 Martindale rubs.

Two base configurations allow the chair to adapt to different environments. The wheeled version combines a swivel base with adjustable seat height for a more traditional desk setup, while the wheel-free version offers a fixed seat height and a cleaner, more residential appearance suited to home offices, meeting rooms and conference settings.

Available in Salt or Charcoal upholstery, both paired with a black metal base, the Unda Office Chair offers a refined alternative for workspaces where comfort, functionality and interior design are equally important.

Frequently asked questions

Should I choose an office chair with wheels or without wheels?

It depends on how you use your workspace. The Unda Office Chair with wheels offers easy movement around a desk and an adjustable seat height, making it well suited to everyday desk work. The wheel-free Unda Office Chair has a fixed seat height and a cleaner, more residential appearance, making it an excellent choice for home offices, meeting rooms and workspaces where mobility is less important.

How can I make a home office look less corporate?

Choosing an upholstered office chair is one way to bring the comfort and visual softness of residential furniture into a workspace. The Unda Office Chair combines a sculpted upholstered shell, tailored piping and neutral Salt or Charcoal fabric with the practical features of an office chair, allowing it to integrate naturally with contemporary desks and home furnishings.

Is the Unda Office Chair suitable for frequent everyday use?

Yes. The Unda Office Chair uses supportive hard foam and 100% polyester flat-weave upholstery rated to 100,000 Martindale rubs, making the fabric highly resistant to abrasion from frequent use. Combined with its supportive upholstered shell and choice of fixed or adjustable seating configurations, Unda is designed for regular use in home and professional workspaces.
