Design Story

Designed by Paul Delaisse, the Figur Sofa explores comfort through softness, generous scale and an embracing form. Rather than relying on rigid lines, its gently curved backrest flows around the seat to create a cocooning silhouette that feels inviting from every angle.

Richly textured Eden upholstery enhances the softness of the form, while refined double stitching traces the sofa’s contours and introduces a subtle tailored detail. The result balances substantial proportions with an elegant sense of restraint.

Comfort is supported by high-resilience polyurethane foam through the seat and backrest, paired with high-quality zigzag spring suspension. The 42.5-inch depth provides generous room for lounging, while the curved back creates a naturally enclosed setting for reading, relaxing or gathering.

At 96.5 inches wide, Figur comfortably accommodates up to three people and has enough visual presence to anchor a larger living space. Its combination of tactile upholstery, sculptural curves and deep comfort brings warmth to contemporary interiors without sacrificing refinement.

Frequently asked questions

What does a curved sofa add to a living room?

A curved sofa can soften the straight architectural lines commonly found in a room while creating a more welcoming seating arrangement. The Figur Sofa uses a gently curved, wraparound backrest to create an embracing silhouette, making it particularly effective as a sculptural focal point in contemporary living spaces.

Is the Figur Sofa suitable for everyday family use?

The Figur Sofa combines high-resilience polyurethane foam with high-quality zigzag spring suspension for supportive everyday seating. Its Eden upholstery is also rated to 100,000 Martindale rubs, indicating excellent resistance to abrasion from frequent use.

How much space do you need for a deep sofa?

The Figur Sofa measures 96.5 inches wide and 42.5 inches deep, so it works best in a room with enough space to appreciate its generous proportions without restricting circulation. Its substantial depth is particularly suited to lounging, while the low 30-inch overall height helps prevent the large sofa from feeling unnecessarily imposing.
